Seedance 2.5 on the fal cards

Seedance 2.5, on the fal cards checked for this guide, is a ByteDance video model listed as Dreamina Seedance 2.5. HiVideoStudio does not sell a render of it. The model page is Seedance 2.5. That page is not for sale. It has no sample file, no Generate button, and no credit price.

HiVideoStudio is not affiliated with ByteDance, Dreamina, or fal.

Three endpoints, three cards

On 2026-10-29 each of these files returned HTTP 200. The quotes below are from those files, not from a job this site ran.

Text to video uses model id `bytedance/seedance-2.5/text-to-video`. The overview says a text prompt becomes a native 30-second single shot, at up to 720p, with the model reasoning about the whole shot so motion, lighting, and identity stay coherent. In the schema on that file, `prompt` is required.

Image to video uses `bytedance/seedance-2.5/image-to-video`. The overview says one still becomes a native 30-second clip at up to 720p. In the schema, `image_url` is required and `prompt` is optional. `end_image_url` is an optional last frame. `generate_audio` defaults to true. The file says the cost is the same whether or not audio is generated. A `draft` flag requests a 480p preview and returns a `draft_id` the file says can be completed at 1080p within seven days.

Reference to video uses `bytedance/seedance-2.5/reference-to-video`. The overview says the endpoint takes up to 50 image, video, audio, and style references and holds a character, set, and palette across a 30-second take. The pricing section says video inputs multiply the price by 0.6, and that video references are billed for both input and output. With video inputs at 720p, the same file prints about $0.2838 per second.

Where the cards disagree with themselves

Each file's overview says "up to 720p". Each file's resolution field lists `480p`, `720p`, and `1080p`, default `720p`. The image-to-video draft note names a 1080p finish. The per-second lines are about $0.2205 at 480p, $0.4730 at 720p, and $1.164 at 1080p. The token lines are $0.0214 per 1,000 tokens at 480p and 720p, and about $0.0234 per 1,000 tokens at 1080p. The formula they print is height times width times (input duration plus output duration) times 24, divided by 1024.

This guide does not pick a winner between the overview and the schema. HiVideoStudio has not sent a request, so it has not seen which resolution the API actually returns. Durations on all three cards are `auto` or a whole number from 4 to 30.

Those dollar figures are fal's published rates. They are not a credit price on this site.

A different id is already on three effects

The public 15-second table in this repo names the engine `seedance-2.0-mini` for three effects:

That engine string is not `bytedance/seedance-2.5/image-to-video`. Buying one of those clips does not call the cards above. AI Zombie is 45 credits and the table does not label it with either id.

Echo-3 rebuilds a captured room in the posts checked for that page. Genie 4 is a simulation you steer, in DeepMind's 27 October 2026 post. Neither announcement is Seedance 2.5. A separate watchlist row mentions an enterprise 4K line. These fal cards are not that row, and this guide does not document it.

How to read a Seedance 2.5 claim

  1. Match the model id before you treat two pages as the same product. `seedance-2.0-mini` is not `bytedance/seedance-2.5`.
  2. Match the endpoint. Text, image, and reference do not take the same inputs, and the reference card bills video inputs on a different line.
  3. Treat the 720p overview and the 1080p option as two sentences in the same file until someone publishes a run. This site has not.
  4. If you want a clip this catalog sells, open that effect and read its credit price. Do not look for one on the Seedance 2.5 page.

Quick answers

Is Seedance 2.5 for sale here? No. The model page is an introduction. It is not for sale.

What did fal publish? Three cards: text to video, image to video, and reference to video, under `bytedance/seedance-2.5`. This guide quotes the files checked on 2026-10-29.

Why do the cards mention both 720p and 1080p? The overview caps the description at 720p. The schema lists 1080p. This site did not run the API.

Does Survival Horror AI use Seedance 2.5? The price table names seedance-2.0-mini for that effect. This guide does not call that the same model id.
