The photo you upload is the only picture of a person these effects get. There is no minimum width or height in the uploader. There is a hard file-type and size check. This page is that check, plus the sentences the upload screens already show.
What the uploader accepts
The photo controls on the effect pages and on Ozil Goal AI accept three types: JPEG, PNG, and WEBP. The limit is 10 MB. The server uses the same rule for images: `image/jpeg`, `image/png`, and `image/webp`, maximum 10 × 1024 × 1024 bytes.
A file that is not one of those types is rejected as an unsupported type. A file over 10 MB is rejected as too large. The template screen says "That photo is larger than 10 MB. Try a smaller one." The other photo panels say "Photo is larger than 10 MB." A size of zero, or a size that is not a whole number of bytes, is rejected as an invalid size.
HEIC, GIF, and BMP are not in that list. If a phone saved the picture as HEIC, export a JPEG, PNG, or WEBP before you upload. The picker will not offer those other types.
Nothing in the upload check requires a minimum pixel size. A tiny image can pass the file check and still produce a face the model cannot hold. The screens say what to do about that, below. They do not promise a pixel count.
The server also has separate limits for other file kinds, used only when a workspace asks for them: audio (`audio/mpeg`, `audio/wav`, `audio/mp4`, `audio/webm`) up to 25 MB, and video (`video/mp4`, `video/webm`, `video/quicktime`) up to 50 MB. The Halloween effects and Ozil Goal AI do not ask for audio or video. Do not send a video and expect it to count as the photo. Face Swap is the workspace that asks for both: one to three character images and one reference video.
What the screen asks for
On a template effect (AI Zombie and Thriller Dance), the note next to the upload is: one clear photo of one face, looking at the camera. The template supplies the pose, the outfit, and the setting on AI Zombie, and those samples include sound. On Thriller Dance, the moves, the backup dancers, and the framing come from the template. Clothes and light can follow the photo. The Thriller Dance clip is silent.
On a single-photo effect that is not a template picker, the workspace says: one clear photo, one person, face visible, good light. That is the path for Survival Horror AI and for Ozil Goal AI. Ozil's own note adds waist-up or full body, JPG, PNG, or WEBP, up to 10 MB.
On a two-photo effect, photo 1 is the left performer and photo 2 is the right performer. Hotel Lobby is that effect. It is not a zombie scene. A 15-second video costs 90 credits.
Group photos give the model more than one face. Sunglasses, a hat pulled over the eyes, and a very dark frame fight the "face visible" instruction. The result screen says each render varies, and that a sharper, well-lit photo is the first thing to try if the face looks off.
Only upload a person who agreed. Do not upload a child without a parent or guardian's permission. Do not upload a stranger or a celebrity and expect the tool to clear that for you.
Which effect uses which photo
- AI Zombie: one photo, then one of three templates. Listed at 45 credits for 15 seconds with sound. Generate is open.
- Thriller Dance: one photo, then a dance template. 50 credits, 15 seconds, silent. Not a music video of any named song.
- Survival Horror AI: one photo, no template picker. The effect page publishes a 15-second vertical sample with sound. 50 credits. Framing notes are in Survival Horror photo tips.
- Ozil Goal AI: one photo. 50 credits, 15 seconds, vertical, with sound.
- Hotel Lobby: two photos. 90 credits, 15 seconds.
- Bulin 47: one photo. 90 credits, 15 seconds, silent.
- Burning Bridges AI: one photo. 90 credits, 15 seconds, 16:9 landscape, silent.
- Face Swap: one to three character images (JPEG, PNG, or WEBP) and one reference video (MP4, WEBM, or MOV). 150 credits, 15 seconds, 768P. The published sample is about 6 seconds at 1280×720.
The full indexed list is on all effects. Prices for the 15-second table are also on pricing.
How to pick the photo
- Crop to one person. Leave the face unobstructed and looking toward the camera.
- Export JPEG, PNG, or WEBP at 10 MB or under. Convert HEIC before you upload.
- Open the effect and use its photo control. On a two-photo effect, put the left person in photo 1 and the right person in photo 2.
- Read the effect page before you spend credits. A waitlist or a missing 15-second price means that render is not for sale.
Quick answers
What image types can I upload? JPEG, PNG, and WEBP. The picker and the server both stop at those three for photos.
How big can the photo be? 10 MB. There is no minimum width or height in the upload check.
Can I upload a HEIC photo from an iPhone? Not as HEIC. The accepted types are JPEG, PNG, and WEBP. Export one of those first.
Does a two-person photo make a couple video? No. One face per photo is what the screens ask for. AI Zombie does not take a second photo at all. HiVideoStudio does not make a two-photo couple clip. See zombie couple videos.

Uploader rules are the ones in this site's code, read 2026-10-22: image types and the 10 MB cap on the template picker, the effect workspace, and Ozil Goal AI; the same image cap on the server, plus the audio and video caps for workspaces that ask for those files. On-screen wording quoted above is from those upload panels. Credit figures are the public 15-second table: AI Zombie 45, Thriller Dance 50, Survival Horror AI 50, Ozil Goal AI 50, Hotel Lobby 90, Bulin 47 90, Burning Bridges AI 90. Last checked 2026-10-31.
